situating tool

What is situating tool?

Situating tools is a system that allows the user to situate in the environment where it involves a context and the occurrence of the situation. Situating tool generates 3-D images and gives the user the feeling of being situated in the virtual environment. Examples of such systems include simulation, virtual reality and multi-user domain. Through computers, we can locate lots of simulations and games which can enhance learning.

So, as a teacher even if we do not have sophisticated situating tools, we can use simulations. Simulations can be used to teach any subject, however, I personally feel that it is mostly used to teach science as it has more features related to science. Another good example of situating tool is 'Virtual reality' extension system. Through this system, the computer can create 3-D images on display to give the students the feeling that is situated in the virtual environment.

Concept

Rectangle is a plane figure with four straight sides and four right angles, especially one with unequal adjacent sides, in contrast to a square.

Procedures

Step by step to construct rectangle in Geogebra
1) First click on Geogebra icon from desktop
2) Draw two points A and B using New Point Tool
3) Draw line segment AB using the Segment Between Two Points Tool

d
       4) Construct two lines which are perpendicular using perpendicular line tool
       5) Then select the New Point Tool and click on any perpendicular line drawn
       6) Draw a line through point C, for that click on perpendicular line Tool and choose parallel line.
        7) Right click on the line and select show object to erase the lines and to just keep the points
        8) Finally, Choose segment from line segment tool and joint the points.
